My favorite songs from Martina McBride are That’s Me, Independence Day, That Wasn’t Me, Wrong Again, and Still Holding On (duet with Clint Black). She has amazing range and power. You can feel her emotions every time she sings with that golden voice.

Darius grew up in South Carolina listening to all kinds of music. He formed a band in the 90s with college buddies which became hugely successful and after they broke up he decided he wanted to tap into his country roots but wasn't sure how the country music community would accept him and if those that knew him as Hootie would like his style of country music. Well, as a fellow Gen X'er who also grew up listening to all kinds of music and can readily alternate listening to rock, pop, country, classical, R&B, Latin, and oldies, I was excited to hear Darius sing country songs for the first time. I love how country music tells stories that are relatable to the common man and as I get older I find myself turning to country music more than the other genres that I still love. I was just hoping that he would be successful and that he'd release songs that would fit into the 90s style of country music and not the latest "Bro Country" fad which has little lasting value. Well, not only did he release great music but his songs are a perfect blend of who he is and what he wants to say. His voice lends itself well to the genre and he surrounds himself with great musicians. My favorite of his songs are It Won't Be Like This For Long, Come Back Song, and If I Told You.

Country Music (especially 90s Country) tells it like it is and if there’s any emotion that you’re dealing with, this genre will bottle those feelings up and make music that will hopefully help you. My favorite songs from Kenny Chesney are That’s Why I’m Here; The Tin Man; All I Need to Know; Grandpa Told Me So; You Win, I Win, We Lose; There Goes My Life; While He Still Knows Who I Am; Me and You; Who You’d Be Today; Don't Blink, A Chance; Fall in Love; and of course Every Other Weekend (duet with Reba McEntire). If I had to pick a favorite from Reba it would probably be It's Your Call.

My favorite songs from Brooks & Dunn are That Ain’t No Way To Go; Whiskey Under the Bridge; Neon Moon; Hard Workin’ Man; She Used To Be Mine; Brand New Man; She’s Not the Cheatin’ Kind; If You See Him, If You See Her (with Reba McEntire); and of course Believe!

He's just an all around great guy from Georgia who loves his country, loves our brave servicemen and servicewomen, and loves his fans. My favorites from TT are Anymore, Help Me Hold On, Foolish Pride, Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof, Tell Me I Was Dreaming, Country Club, Here's a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares), I'm Gonna Be Somebody, T-R-O-U-B-L-E, Can I Trust You With My Heart, and Best of Intentions.

The timbre of his rich baritone voice is unparalleled.
